This project, located on Fountain Avenue, was designed around the client’s vision of a light, open, and airy kitchen within an open-plan living space. The brief focused on achieving a minimalist aesthetic with handleless cabinetry, complemented by warm wood detailing and subtle dark accents on the wall units.
A key priority for the client was to minimise the visual impact of ventilation. To address this, we specified a BORA vented hob, seamlessly integrated and mounted flush with the worktop. This not only eliminates the need for a traditional cooker hood but also improves functionality by reducing grease and dirt buildup, maintaining low noise levels, and effectively removing cooking odours.
the design
The kitchen was designed using furniture from Keller Kitchens, a Dutch manufacturer known for its strong commitment to sustainability. In collaboration with the University of Amsterdam, Keller has developed one of the first recycled MFC chipboards, helping reduce landfill waste, an initiative increasingly valued by our clients.
To enhance the overall warmth and elegance of the space, we selected a Calacatta Gold worktop, which beautifully complements the natural tones of the wood cabinetry. The island is finished with Cosentino worktops, creating a striking waterfall effect on both sides, adding both visual impact and continuity to the design. The result is a refined, contemporary kitchen that balances aesthetic simplicity, high performance, and sustainable innovation.
