This traditional kitchen balances classic detailing with carefully chosen contemporary elements, resulting in a space that feels grounded, practical and confidently composed. Dark painted cabinetry is paired with lighter base units to create contrast without overpowering the room, allowing the architecture and materials to take the lead.
Positioned to make the most of natural light, the layout supports everyday cooking while retaining a strong visual structure, with each zone clearly defined and considered.
the design
The design centres on traditional shaker cabinets finished in a deep, heritage-inspired tone, contrasted with lighter cabinetry to maintain balance and visual clarity. Stone worktops introduce texture and subtle movement, continuing up the walls as a full-height splashback behind the range cooker to create a strong focal point. A Falcon range cooker anchors the cooking area, reinforcing the kitchen’s traditional character, while a NEFF wine cooler is integrated neatly into the tall cabinetry to add a modern, functional touch. A double ceramic sink is positioned beneath the window to take advantage of natural daylight, paired with a Quooker tap for everyday convenience.
